Hi, I’m Emily, an anti-bias educator and consultant. I support educators who are committed to justice and equity through professional learning and curriculum alignment work. I believe teachers are essential in a democracy and classrooms are critical sites for social change.

I am the principal author of the Learning for Justice Social Justice Standards (SJS), a framework for anti-bias education at every grade level from K-12. My work is focused on practical application and successful implementation of the SJS Framework.

• I  help schools and districts make their DEI work more effective by embedding anti-bias education goals into school culture and curriculum. 

• I help professional learning communities build capacity and connection in support of school-wide equity efforts.

• I help individual educators examine their pedagogy and create the conditions necessary for students to develop critical consciousness. 

• I help publishers and authors communicate and create materials that promote equity and justice in education.
